I thought this was more of a British-American pronunciation difference: I (English) generally say roo-ting, and I’ve only ever heard USians say row-ting (row like argument, not like rowing a boat).
I sat through a meeting today where we played a game: guess the brand shown in the AI slop images. This was after being shown uses of Gemini like “ask questions about the current meeting” (presumably because most meetings are meaningless and nobody listens)
Most of these are French loans
