Knowledge is itself a justified true belief. Also, the scientific method is the best way of obtaining empirical knowledge, but the idea that empirical evidence is true is still a belief, and not even that justified. Also also, science is constantly trying to prove itself wrong. It’s unlikely that what we think now based on scientific methods will be the same we think in the future.

7·5 days agoI think that gender dysphoria is a mental illness, as it causes mental distress if not alleviated with transition, but that it’s not shameful to have it any more than it’s shameful to have autism, conversion therapy has been scientifically proven not to work, and just as people with diabetes manage their condition with insulin, transition is the best way to manage it so people with it can live happy lives.

I call my parents ‘Mummy’ and ‘Daddy’ to their face, or ‘my mother’ and ‘my father’ to others, unless they specifically ask what their name is. I call my grandmas ‘Grandma [name]’, and my grandfather by a cultural title. Aunts and uncles I call ‘Aunt [name]’ to differentiate them. Siblings and cousins I call by their name.
