Is the tensile strength approximately infinite and/or the weight of the wire close to zero?
If they are not I’ll play around with something at work tomorrow if I’m not too busy. Eg something 100 times “better” than steel, would it stretch due being anchored by it’s own weight rather than move the other end at astronomical distances.
