Which is a bit rich coming from someone who has devoted their life to a magic sky wizard, who has a lot less evidence supporting his existence compared to Santa and, yet, he’s caused a lot more misery and death.
As far as I can tell, that copyright excuse is nonsense. What I hear from folks at the Passport Office is they get bored and mess around - celebrities get their photos attached weirdly, for example. This, and previous cases, seems like someone deciding your name is silly and coming up with an excuse. Usually what happens is it makes the news, management stick a rocket up someone’s arse and it gets sorted.
